Royal Academy of Arts is one of the major Art Institutions and Museums of UK.
Every year organized by Royal Academicians, “The Summer Exhibition” is a longed for event in London.
For non members is a difficult task either to be invited or to be selected to exhibit.
The Royal Academicians have the right to show up to five of their works. To complete the event, a privileged number of famous artists are invited and a restricted number of artists, applying for the show, are selected by Royal Academicians.
Thus meaning that is always a great honor to be part of the group of the exhibitors.
Non members artists are allowed to show one work only.
In 2001 Peter Blake was the editor. He is universally considered the father of the British Pop Art:the famous cover of The Beatles ” Sgt. Peppers ” album, in 1968, is just one of his creations.
He and his staff were the ones selecting Roberto Freno’s painting “Tomorrow is a Holiday” between thirteen thousands works examined.
